This prompt reminds me of David Marusek’s stories. Set your timer for 15 minutes. Write a story that comes from this quote: “It’s not really a fly. If you swat it, they’ll just fine you and send two more.”

Once the time goes off, feel free to come back to the story and give it good revision. If there’s something there, keep working on it.
